Carl Zeiss Foundation-Focus@HEiKA
The Carl Zeiss Foundation-Focus@HEiKA was brought into life in order to strengthen the further development of scalable digital 3D Additive Manufacturing transcending from the molecular to the macroscopic scale. It boosts and enhances the 3DMM2O Cluster efforts by the following four specific measures:
- Carl Zeiss Foundation Stipend Program for Doctoral Researchers and a Qualification Stipend Program for national and international MSc students
- Start-up investments for a new professorship at the Centre for Advanced Materials (CAM) in Heidelberg. From November 2019 onwards, Prof. dr. ir. Martijn Kemerink holds this position.
- Carl Zeiss Foundation 3D User Lab to reach national and international users
- Carl Zeiss Foundation Vision Assessment Study to explore societal implications of 3D Additive Manufacturing
Furthermore, funding provided by the Carl Zeiss Foundation-Focus@HEiKA supports the Science Communications modules within the HEiKA Graduate School.
