On July 2, the Gemeinsame Wissenschaftskonferenz (GWK) decided the inclusion of ten additional consortia within the Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI). Among the new consortia supported in this second funding round are NFDI-MatWerk (Materials Science and Engineering) and FAIRmat (Condensed-Matter and Chemical Physics of Solids). Cluster PIs Peter Gumbsch and Ruth Schwaiger are members of NFDI-MatWerk and Christof Wöll is a member of FAIRmat.
