Correlative Multimodal Characterization (B2.2)

Project B2.2 3D correlation of morphological and spectroscopic data for a holistic understanding of complex functional 3D nanoarchitectures.
Our Goal

We aim for a 3D correlation of morphological and spectroscopic data to realize a holistic understanding of complex functional 3D nanoarchitectures. The development of 3D imaging techniques on the nm scale as well as  the correlation of infrared scanning near-field optical microscope (IR-SNOM) and electron microscopy data via serial sectioning of 3D samples by ultramicrotomy will be addressed. This includes a precise 3D correlation of morphological and spectroscopic data, obtained from IR-SNOM spectroscopy.
