Project B1.1 aims to enable automated multimodal printing for integrating different material classes (organic/inorganic, dielectric/semiconducting/metallic) and printing techniques to realize complex, multiscale systems. By combining laser printing, inkjet, aerosol-jet, and ultraprecise deposition, the project targets highly conductive structures and advanced THz applications. Key efforts include optimizing curing processes (UV/IR sintering) and automating sample handling with robotic systems to reduce manufacturing times. Machine learning will be integrated to predict process parameters and accelerate ink formulation, paving the way for reliable, on-demand printed systems.
