Target Group
The Master’s program is for students with an accomplished degree in Materials Science and Engineering (BSc with ≥ 180 Credits/ECTS) or an equivalent degree.
The decision whether a degree is considered equivalent is made by the admissions commission in accordance with the examination committee (see the access statutes for more information).
For applicants who cannot be admitted directly, there is the possibility of taking an entrance examination.
For the MSc in Materials Science and Engineering we consider applicants who have an accomplished degree in:
- Materials Science and Engineering (Bsc with ≥ 180 Credits/ECTS)
or related disciplines.
Students are expected to have thorough knowledge in:
- Metals and Materials Physics (≥ 14 Credits/ECTS)
- Ceramics (≥ 12 Credits/ECTS)
- Polymers (≥ 6 Credits/ECTS)
- Functional Materials (≥ 10 Credits/ECTS)
- Higher Mathematics (≥ 21 Credits/ECTS)
- Technical Mechanics (≥ 13 Credits/ECTS)
- Higher Mathematics (≥ 21 Credits/ECTS)
- Experimental Physics (≥ 15 Credits/ECTS)
- Inorganic and Applied Chemistry (≥ 16 Credits/ECTS)
